Hi Pat,
I was also present at the shareholders meeting. My general impression was that the management team appeared very pleased with their progress and all the deals in the works.You did a fantastic job and my congratulations. I asked a few questions (from the very first row), like why Soundview's Kevin Slocum is not reiterating his coverage, insider trading etc. And in my one on one with JS and BB (Tac) I walked away very positive. Jim intimated that there will be a few announcements in Jan, 1997. I too like you told him that the stock continues to find a new bottom every day and we need some news to stabilize. I pointed out that the danger is that if it drifts too low then nay good news will only bring it back to ho-hum levels. After attending the meeting last Friday I am now even more bullish based on what I heard like...They are working with other Telcos (not Nynx and BelAtlantic), also ISP folks and Networking folks. I will remain patient.
I continue to enjoy your posting on the SI forum, along with many other smart folks who are keeping this forum interesting, lively and also very professional. Wish you and everyone (supporters and detractors -YES!!!!) all happy holidays and the very best for the coming new year. GOOD LUCK. Thanks very much.
