Def, thanks. I have had slight doubts about my bearish convictions. After looking at the LTCM debacle, no more! The bailout package spells out that they try to liquidate in an orderly manner. That is in essence telling the potential buyers to back-off. TRV CEO was on NBR today. He claims victory in buying the assets (what assets?) from LTCM for 90% of the face value. You can see the uncomfortable feeling in his face when talking about the bail-out. He says the Feds didn't force them. Yeah, right! (I will give a link to the transcripts tomorrow.) Take care. -MMV
