Joe -
CPQ announced in May that by 4Q98 ALL CPQ consumer desktop machines would ship with ADSL standard. CPQ has been in the lead on developing the ADSL standard for several years now, in a 3-way effort with Intel and Microsoft. It was CPQ who drove acceptance of ADSL by 9 of the major Telco providers in February of this year. In addition, these same machines will also support cable modem by year end, for all those folks who can't get ADSL. I believe that most new CPQ machines today are equipped with ADSL. Dell is sure not the thought leader here, more like follow the leader.
