Maurice, if you can't recognize that this is a sign that the Fed thinks the stability (= margin of safety from spiraling paniced collapse) of the U.S. and hence the world's financial system is not threatened at this juncture, you are less bright than I have long thought you were. This is not play time, and it's not all controllable by our Fed. They are acting early and smart because they know if they act late and brilliant there will be nothing they can do. Hopefully it will be contained. Many, many other shoes can drop. We live in interesting times, I'm afraid. Doug
