Pascal, Fairly, honestly, openly and succinctly stated. The bottom line historically in East Africa is Arabic intervention and Black Africa's efforts to push the Arabs back out and reduce Arabic influence, and also ending the Arabic slave trade still going on to this day.

Are you familiar with historic Omani control of East Africa in centuries past, or who Mirambo of Tanzania was and his role in the late 1800's in East African History. Also figuring prominently albeit indirectly were two famous Zulu Military strategists, Shaka, and Ngono at the time....
