The trading in ALTIF does look suspicious. It hardly moves away from $9. I've seen stocks which were artificially supported at a price for some time (until someone was able to unload their shares presumably?) and then the stock just goes into freefall.

Speculation: It just seems like this is happening with ALTIF. Perhaps Prudential is keeping the price at $9 while they unload their shares. It could take a while since volume is really low. No one's buying. Sooner rather than later the price will have to come down.
