Joe,
Good Morning....
While you are probably a very good trader, you must admit, in all fairness and honesty, that it does not take you or your SA to uncover and make good calls.
That you do so is good, but there are many who saw the future of CMGI, for example, long before you noticed it. Just off the top of my head, I don't remember you saying anything at all about CMGI long ago when it had an SI thread with only a few weekly postings. I myself began successfully trading it long ago without being aware of any interest you might have had in it.
If they want to, and if they are capable, just about anyone can find ways to manage their time, do lots of research, and uncover good plays, create a watch list, and remain alert. It also helps if they can learn from others. There are many SI threads where some really smart traders openly share what they are doing, and if it is what one wants there are also several very good membership services that one could take advantage of. SA is not a trader's first and last hope.
I have learned a lot from many people I have met on SI, including you, but I also learn a lot from my own experience. Ideally, a trader builds today on what she learned yesterday.
Remembering back nearly a year ago, it was you who brought RNTK to the attention of many of us, including me (it was in the TAVA clubhouse) I, however, will take the credit and responsibility for the kind of attitude and interest that might put me in the right place at the right time. With that in place, anyone can be in a position to take advantage of things that are unfolding....
I am still in RNTK, but I will not count on it. I still day trade and swing trade(I go for the modest and frequent gains in my trades that add up, building on each one....if I hit one superbly once in a while, that is extra)
Best, Charliss
PS.....traded 400 shares of CMGI this morning for 6 pts. Not terribly big by many standards, but it adds to what I did the rest of the week....Also found the theatre tickets to "Forever Tango."....:-) |
