I agree with you, Chip, that more stocks should be profiled. However, if we're looking for time to slice to talk about those extra stock profiles, the first place they need to cut is Kate Bohner's daily piece. Ship her off to the E! channel where she belongs. Her and Joan Rivers can discuss hemlines at the Academy Awards. Case in point: today she's profiling Spin Magazine. Yeah, that's real market-worthy conversation. Geez, where can I buy stock in Spin Magazine? Is there a market play here? Her segments are always totally worthless. Maybe her and Elenor Mondale can do interviews with Leonardo DiCaprio, but do it on the E! Channel, not on a channel devoted to investments.
I reiterate my position that Kernan is the best. More Kernan, more stock profiles, less Kate, less PowerLunch garble, i.e. "oooh, here's how to track your 401K plan." I know Bill Griffeth was on jury duty--couldn't we have gotten him sequestered on the O.J. trials for a few months? |
