AAPL Short Interest 09/24/98.............08/25/98...........Change 16,754,591...........12,973,159.........+3,781,432 (+29.15%) I said it before, IMHO most of these shorts are option holders hedging some of their positions. I have no way to prove it, but even an Apple bear like me thinks its foolish to short Apple in the middle of an iMac release... In fact I "unrecommended" shorting Apple since it was at $18....
