On the QT,

I'd like to amend your comments about buy and hold. If you do this sort of thing in traditional companies like T and TYC (both of which are very long-term holds in my portfolio) you can pretty much buy them and forget them. But, when you invest in technology companies things can change pretty quickly. So I think it is wise to watch the techs pretty closely. I own several such -- ASND, NETA, PSFT, TLAB -- and I constantly need to reassure myself that they continue to maintain a technologically viable product as well as a good long-term business plan and good long-term growth prospects.

But there are also companies which are intermediate in nature -- emerging companies in emerging markets -- which also need continuous attention. For example, I was a shareholder in OXHP and was lucky enough to sniff out the problems it was having early last summer. So I was able to get out well before the stock tanked.

TTFN,
CTC
