Brazil central bank sees dlr outflows slowing Reuters, Friday, September 25, 1998 at 13:31 BRASILIA, Sept 25 (Reuters) - The Brazilian central bank said Friday that dollar outflows were slowing and it hoped they would settle soon after soaring earlier in the month amid fears of a currency crisis. Overseas transfers of dividends and profits by foreign companies totaled $1.258 billion between September 1 and 24, up from $384 million for August as a whole, the head of the Central Bank's economics department, Altamir Lopes, said.
