All, OK, it is time again. I'm putting out the call. If spot gold is below 297 I'm going to
the coin shop again. Who is with me?

Oops, you just did it.

Anyway, I was talking to JGoltier tonight. His NOVA Y2K group was
meeting about 15 minutes from my office so I popped in to say hello.

Jay said that yesterday Ko-skin-em said that come January 1999, several
state's welfare systems will go belly-up. ... so what does it sound
like? It's the Jo Anne Effect!

Welfare? Wel-wel-wel-fare? Oh nooooo!

I'll do a search for a transcript tomorrow. Hopefully it was a prepared
speech and they filed the transcript.

cory hamasaki 464 days. 99 Days until we feel the wrath of Jo Anne.

Another nice observation from Cory:

'I don't see how I'll need 6 months or a year's worth of food but then I don't know why companies and the feds didn't start Y2K remediation in the 1980's.'
