This is by far the most accurate thing you have posted (which of course means I agree with you). What worries me is that people (on both sides) are willing to go to almost any lengths to win this war. It may well be a Pyrrhic (sp?) victory. Long-term we all lose if either side gets too strong, because both parties are being run primarily by the extremists. We just don't get many centrist candidates anymore. I keep hoping a way can be found to assign an appropriate punishment for Clinton's actions, because I like the Republicans sending bills to Clinton for signature. It keeps both sides open to compromise. I'm just as scared of too much liberal power as I am of too much conservative power.
