Jobs part-time

Steve Jobs apparently is going to work part-time on the MAC OS replacement. He has sold his company for a tidy $400 million and probably plans to concentrate on his other startup PIXAR.

This definitely does not bode well for Apple. What Apple got for its money was a part-time half-hearted effort. This is definitely not good for MAC OS development. On top of this NEXT is a variant of old UNIX which is not what Apple needs for a new OS for the 20th century.

In the longterm, it appears the MAC OS will definitelly become more irrelevant. Too bad Amelios nor Hancock had the foresight of a visionary. Weren't they both ex-employees of National Semiconductor? Look what happened to that company.
