Wrongway Galloway.....It is time to change your name to Rightway as you were 100% correct. You are one of the only posters to this forum that forecasted the digital movement accurately. Most print journals now predict that the small printer will bankrupt within 2 to 3 years unless they conform to industry change. Much has developed in the industry within the past 18 months. Business has changed to computer disk for presentation and job formatting. Printer's not converting to DTP and CTP are losing business at an alarming rate. They cannot compete with the digital process...both in time and cost. Also, the government crackdown on chemicals is due to hit the printer hard. The expense of disposal will be prohibitive.

What does this mean to us and Presstek......

Since the original Presstek development of Computer-to-Plate and Direct-to-Press at Drupa 95, Presstek has proceeded to stay one step ahead of the rest and has never wavered in their conviction that the industry must change to digital format. The delay in the acceptance of this technology has ended. The resistance to change by the printer can no longer be an alternative to making a move to a computer driven system.

What has Presstek changed that "all of a sudden" will transform this company to the digital leader in the graphic arts industry? The answer is "nothing" They have constantly been in the front with technology that was before their time. The only drawback to massive product sales was Presstek's belief that an immediate acceptance to CTP/DTP would be instantanious in the industry. Now it has turned around, and Presstek is positioned to capitalize on the demand that is sure to become a quick reality.

No other producer has capability to design and implement DTP through digital imaging without going through Presstek.

No other manufacturer has been able to successfully develop a thermal processless plate with the required vacuum process.

No other manufacturer has a low cost contract proof product, which will perform as the Imation proofer is able to do.

The current lead for Presstek is now far beyond reach, that by the time the industry competition realizes the true direction of Graphic Arts and the true need of the printer, Presstek will have mounted a strong hold on the market and be accepted as the company that leads the world in digital technology.

Shareholders will soon return to this stock.

Neil

PS....Bear and those that are short this stock......

None of you have responded to my recent numerous factual posts..... Instead, you have continued your relentless flaming of Scott and his views. I invite your discussion.....Well?

What will 1000 CTP thermal imagers mean to Presstek when PEARLgold becomes available? This plate material can be imaged to many thousands of presses worldwide.

Karat Press anticipates hundreds of 74-Karat installs by year-end 1999. All using plate material from Presstek at much larger square footage as compared to QMDI.

Heidelberg is developing a brand new press with Presstek for Drupa 2000.....using a laser system second to none. What will be the engineering fees? Eventual royalty?
