Maurice:

Not really, you can hire lawyers, read the patents, understand the technology, study case law, read the patent law, consider the countries involved and predict what the courts will decide.

Fine then, what's the market going to close at on Monday? :^) No one, repeat, no one can accurately predict what the final result would be in court.

I am all for IP and royalties, mind you.

If you can accurately predict the future, then I will give you all my money today and let you invest it for me. :^)

e. The cdma2000 issue seems very robustly in favour of Qualcomm. The L M Ericsson blustering is very evidently just that. They have little negotiating strength. They can only damage their own interests by delaying agreement.

That is an opinion, not a fact. Why are you just bringing up Ericsson? Remember it is also, Lucent, Alcatel, Nokia, Motorolla, et al. who will also need to license from the Q.

Prove to me that it is. Show me that patents. Remember if it is IP, while the Q has a little over 130 patents, Ericsson has over 1600 patents.

By saying that "They have little negotiating strength." is highly inaccurate. All of the companies that make up the ETSI are combined, much bigger than the Q.
