On a separate note, I like this part of the Windows Magazine Tech Support Survey:

In most cases (61%), users get support directly from their vendor either via phone, the Web, fax, or e-mail. In one out of four cases, they had to get a new part from the vendor. When asked about the shortest and longest time to resolve a problem, users reported a mean of 3.6 days at best and 6.7 days at worst. Micron was the speediest on both counts, with 2.6 days on the short end and 3.9 at most.
