Quincy: Sony refused to license out Beta technology, while JVC licensed out their VHS technology. See the analogy? Now about apple. How much money does Apple make? How about Microsoft? Intel? IBM? If Apple had just licensed out their technology, they would've been a powerhouse. Currently, they (Apple) are relegatedd to the outhouse. But, as a self-proclaimed Patent dude, do you understand the drawbacks of specifiying CDMA as the only air-interface a patent applies to? Quincy, if you are a patent person, the specification does not limit the invention; however, the claims do. dave
