I haven't looked at Streamer lately, since it doesn't seem to want to run on my browser (the latest beta of Netscape 4.5). The Island Book does work, so I don't know what is wrong.

I did try Streamer when it was in beta, and it was indeed quite timely. I think it was fractionally faster than Townsend's quotes. Streamer certainly is a good "deal" if you only want to track a few stocks and don't need charting.

There is no comparison between Streamer and RealTick III, though. The latter offers a number of kinds of charting, the ability to track thousands of stocks if you so choose (I'd mention my own freeware Scammer software that lets you do this - RT3 isn't so hot at handling more than a couple of hundred issues - but then I'd get people bugging me to update it, which I don't have the time to do!), Excel spreadsheet link, etc. etc. etc. RT3 is a very complete package.

However, I think if you compare Streamer with the various "numbers only" streaming quotes services that typically go from $50 to $100/month, I think Streamer will probably do just about the same thing for you.

Me, I'm not so good at building a chart in my head. :)
