Not much substance to Quayle, a little whimpy, IMO. married into money
ect. Bush made a mistake there--he could have set up the next election --by placing a more vibrant potential Pres forward-- seems I have positive thoughts of Alexander--
trouble is the bunch of Rep leaders around now, aren't
doing much leading--no vision---mired down with this get Clinton thing---maybe the Nov elections will bring forward some new young Repubs--any charasmatic Republicans?
that tends to get the womens vote.

As far as Kerry being pompous, check out
his military record.

Bush seems like the best hope now--he is not identified
with Newt, Delay (for some reason, he is scary) et al.
but will be identified with former Pres Bush and his Lady.

I just got a flash--how about Congress appointing a committee of Carter, Bush, Dole, to recommendend
a solution to the current impeachment crisis.
