Glass half empty or full?
The bad news:
1. they underbid a few projects and now have to waste time servicing them which end up costing company $$. 2. lost partnership with a vendor (hope its a minor vendor and not CA). 3. Writing off SOME software for tax purposes (does NOT mean all their software products are useless).

Good news:
1. Switching to a service oriented Y2K solution (which is where the $$ is) vs tool provider solution . 2. Backlog of business. 3. Potential for great deal of new business in the next few quarters.

Based on the above, I believe the stock price will stabilize and improve in the next few quarters. As news of new contracts continues to come in, price will rise-- as it did last week with news of Arlington County contracts. They will have to eat the cost of the underestimated contract bids but will move foreward with new business and experience.
Dont forget IAIC is strategically located in the midst of the Washington DC area which puts them of the door step of many international business headquarters as well as embassies of foreign nations, all of which have y2K solution/service needs.
