HI Pat,

I hate to temper the enthusiasm that the annual meeting
produced, but I think that the case for AMTX being a multi-bagger
stock from 14 has not been adequately communicated to any of
us shareholders. The excitement of deals notwithstanding, I am
still concerned that:

1) DMT modems will cost alot more than CAP modems, and people
will be satisfied w/their CAP modems.

2) DSLAM's incorporating DMT will require much more power than
CAP, and the telco's won't go for them.

I would love to have someone shoot me down on these two points.
We all (except for Globespan) agree that DMT is better than CAP
in terms of rate adaptability and noise immunity, but ultimate
cost differences have not been enumerated yet. If AMTX could do
this, I think it would also aid in their bids to the telco's. I
would suggest the following study (funded by AMTX at a university):

1) evaluate the effective transfer speed/downtime difference
between an AMTX DMT modem and the new WSTL FlexCAP.

2) Demonstrate differences w/internet access, videoconferecing (up and
down), and audio.

3) Give some estimate of bottom-line differences in costs and
DSLAM configurations.

I realize they are short on marketing people, but nothing in their
website suggests that they have given these issues their due.

Its wonderful to have great technology, but only so many people
will buy the best technology. You have to hit them where they feel
it.

Merry Christmas Everyone.
