Shugart Calls Conner 'Crazy' For Starting New Company September 28, 1998, Issue: 1128 Section: News Mark Hachman Speaking at the DISKCON '98 conference in San Jose last week, Alan F. Shugart, former chief executive of Seagate Technology Inc., revealed how he'll spend his time off: He's pushing a formal proposal to add a "None of the above" category to all California state and federal ballots. The initiative is part of Shugart's "Friends of Ernest" social-political movement, named after his dog.
