The group average has been coming down rather consistently from the 1st of May this year until the first of September. Since then, the character of group performance has changed to a "flattening out", or bouncing along the bottom type of trend. If the trend has been relatively flat for the group for the past 3 weeks, a question can be asked, how have the individual stocks performed within the group? The following table shows the result for each stock since 9/4 to Friday's close. The group change is only 3 percent, but there is wide divergence within the group. Also, as shown at the bottom of the table, SOX-X is up 14 percent over the same period.
