DocStone,

Jeff Bezos was a hedge fund manager prior to going into the retail business. I suspect he is good at handling money, I could not tell you what type securities AMZN is in and I believe further it is not disclosed in any of the SEC filings. AMZN does not like to give out much information.

I do believe a variation on interest rates will have far less affect on the AMZN cash flow as does the $35 million per quarter. The recent acquisitions had some cash so the appearance is AMZN is not burning cash as quickly as they really are. They did raise cash via stock dilution. The only way to keep cash on hand is to continue to acquire with the use of stock.
