Many long term investors today come from the ranks of daytraders.

They do well on three, and lose it all on just one.

Then they pick a good one that goes down, start to check it out, and voila, find that they have a decent investment that will withstand the rigors of a fast 16th profit.

You are without a doubt correct that we will convert some if not many daytraders due to the quality of the forthcoming PR's. IMHO
