I wouldn't be nearly as concerned about Disney as about Microsoft
and/or AT&T offering $14.95 flat rate, and/or $1/hour no-minimum/ capped at $19.95. (to appeal to newbies not sure about $19.95).
Either one would clobber AOL's model and forecasts.

Whenever the last big guy moves to the prevailing price (as with AOL to $19.95) everyone thinks as if that will be the price forever. The history of online says otherwise. Already increasing numbers of smaller ISPs are moving to $14.95, some to $12.95 with 12 month advance payment. And, BTW, Boardwatch reports that the number of ISPs
actually is increasing, not declining.

"the number of individual Internet Service Providers has
grown to some 3068 - more than doubling the number of
Internet Service Providers in North America in a little
over seven months." 11/96
