Are you aware that MsNBC has started reporting that the Tripp tapes, to be released next week, reveal some very interesting things about Tripp. Including that soon after their "friendship" began, she started URGING Monica to stop merely flirting with Bill (which along with Monica's stalking, was widely rumored among WH staff), but to get on with some actual action. That Linda encouraged Monica with advice such as "it would be a great story to tell your grandkids". And that all this went on before Monica decided to confide that she actually had already had a full blown affair, that was in fact by then tapering down? And a lot else besides. Remember that Tripp had previous reported, or misreported, that Kathleen Willey had emerged from Clinton's office "disheveled", and had been grouped. (Which contradicted another WH staffers even more immediate witness of Willey's appearance after leaving Clinton's office.) Now does something seem a little off here? You don't suppose that Tripp wasn't just taping Lewinsky to avoid some sort of imagined jeopardy because Lewinsky had wanted her to lie if asked what Lewinsky had told her, do you. Doesn't sound like a set up from the get go, does it? Doug
