Merrill Lynch:

there is no doubt i like mer as a great stock to own "long term", when i first talked about mer it was as a long term hold not a pick that will make you rich overnight. when all this asian crap blows over mer will head back up to it's old highs . they have plans to do several acquisitions and from people that i speak to at merrill their exposure isn't as bad as other firms and banks. yes they are getting hammered along with the rest but when it turns mer will lead the pack.

if greenspan lowers rates a 1/2 point(which is what i believe he will do) i think mer will have a sharp rebound along with the whole market in general. if it's only a 1/4 point IMO the market will drop and so will mer. but the bottom line is mer is a very solid company to hold long term especially at these prices.

Note:

i want to thank everyone for their support for me and their efforts on this thread.
