I have an idea.

How about a button to click on to send an immediate PM to someone without having to click on a name to open their profile.

Sort of like the search box at the bottom of the screen, only instead you type the persons name in, and <click>, then it takes you directly to the PM screen of that person.

Would save several steps, especially if you weren't on a screen that had that persons name on it.
