Saw this on the ORCL thread. Doesn't mention i2, but applies.

ORCL is wanting to become a service provider, keeping the company's data on ORCL systems, and charging a fee for the service. This would seem to benefit i2 should it become popular.

Would companies entrust their databases to an outside vendor such as ORCL? As supply chains integration becomes more crucial, this may prove beneficial at the industry level. Quite interesting strategically. IMHO.

Would appreciate comments.
