Stan S. There is one simple answer, here. It's 'tradition' and it's the way Cohen defined it and Burke, Aby, Dorsey, et al do it. If you want to try another, very interesting, variety of box scaling on a p&f chart, try using a fixed price percentage change scale for the box values eg 1% or 1.5% or 2%, etc price change per box....
