Geigartt,

You are wise to start worrying about connection issues. I waited over 2 months for US West to tell me they couldn't upgrade my line to anything more than residential. Some traders only use residential lines with 56k modems, but I wouldn't recommend it. Fast download of your data feed is crucial; otherwise you'll be buying and selling with old or delayed price quotes.

Cable modems or ADSL phone lines are the best, if you have them (most don't) Next would be an ISDN line which also may not be available. I had to settle on a satellite dish, which after a horrifying software installation experience, is working fantastically.

As far as training, $1500 for about 10 hours a week, sounds like a ripoff to me. The best training program (dollar for dollar) is Ken's (the guy who started this thread). For $150 a month you get more than you can get anywhere! He has a simple (but very effective and successful) system for trading and is a very very good teacher. Go to his site at mtrader.com.

Go slow, demo trade, learn from mistakes, stay disciplined and protect your capital at all costs (take stop losses!!!!)

Good luck!

Brent
