UTEK Short Interest as of 9/15/98 stands at 22,647,186 shares with average daily volume of 208,129 - thus 12.72 days to cover. While short interest has steadily declined since the Jan 1998 high of 4,669,273 shares, average daily volume has declined at an even faster rate from its Jan 1998 amount of 500,631 shares when average days to cover stood at 9.33 days. Imho, the shorts were correct about this stock during the past year. Frankly, I'm disappointed that recovery for the SemiCap Equip industry has been gradually pushed back and that UTEK has drifted down to the mid teens. Are we "waiting for Godot" here ? P :-(
