The letter of intent to acquire the two electronic processing subsidiaries of American Bank Note finally came out on the Dow Jones wire and Bloomberg.

Although there were no dollar figures mentioned the fact that 700 new merchant processing accounts will nearly double Columbia's present base that in turn will could double annual revenues. This will also immediately give Columbia a much broader diversification of its products and customers.

With all the anticipation of the news being released it is apparent from the volume generated that many investors are not aware of Friday's news. They will probably read about it on the Internet over the weekend and we will also see a new report published by Westergaard that should be very positive on Columbia's both short and long-term growth potential. I expect big volume next week to go along with this great news release.
