The low and mid market is a nice opportunity, but the high end of that market is 5 times as big, and the margins are better too. Even with no market growth in the high end, or even with a decrease in the market size, there is lots of room for both CPQ and Dell to make money there at the expense of IBM and the legacy vendors.
