Gauguin,

Yup, "Rocky and Bullwinkle" was very funny and not really at all for kids.

1968 was a great year for memorable commercials. Standouts included Alka-Seltzer, Volkswagen, Jeno's Pizza Rolls. Even better than the commercials were the spoofs of those and other commercials on the variety shows. Whatever happened to variety shows?

Eight-track tapes? Yup, still have a few and an old Panasonic eight-track player/recorder. I've been slowly transferring the better ones to cassettes.

BTW, when my 1967 Cougar XR-7 was stolen in 1982, the thief took it upon himself to remove the factory AM radio and install an eight-track player--sans radio, however--a situation which I quickly remedied when I recovered the car. During the two months he had the car, he also did a brake job and made other repairs. All in all, a most considerate thief. Even the insurance company and police said it was one for the books.
