Living only a few miles from Micron, I'll take a crack at an answer. J.R. Simplot is a super wealthy individual here in Boise that owns much of the area here. He started and still owns much of Micron as a financial backer in the shadows. He was the one that released a horde of bullish articles on DRAM etc a couple years ago not realizing he had hired an honest CEO to head Micron then. When the CEO issued a press release that all was not good in the DRAM market, Simplot fired him immediately for telling the truth. Idaho has a large Mormon population. Boise in particular is becoming Salt Lake City west <g> Micron will probably report great numbers but considering that most of the wives at my air base work there, all is not well at the plant. However, don't worry, Micron has never ceased to amaze us with the way they can do new math on their earnings releases. Since they had aquisitions this quarter, they will be able to hide all kinds of things so this should prove to be a stellar earnings release.
