The auxillary page is already set up by none other than yourself. Personally I don't see anything structurally wrong with it other than adding some initial categorization efforts on the part of post authors who know best what subjects are discussed within. And to deal some how with the workload that will hopefully be reduced but never completely eliminated if aux is too survive.

doubt that anyone here has the time to start from scratch.

I agree. I doubt there is anyway Brad can customize a system as well as we can. ( I am sure he could but he has other priorities)

Perhaps there is a hosting site that would lend itself to multiple users. I do not know how many participants are interested in indexing the thread. I do not mind putting some time in myself but doing all of the work is a bit much.

Between the thread, PM's, possibly adding a club house option and an external multiuser web hosting site maybe we could put together something useful. I wonder if it would violate any SI terms of use?

I am sure there are ways to refine the indexing. What I do is rather labor intensive. If there were a way to publish excel perhaps some improvements could be made.
