An excellent question Sal, but one I can't answer. I've never owned a Sportster, so I have no basis for comparison. I would surmise that at the very least, the Couriers contain higher quality electronic components. They may also have have greater functionality, but again I can't be certain. They have always been DSP/Flash based modems, whereas Sportsters only recently incorporated that feature.

Then, there's always the "buy quality" aspect. Heinz vs. Hunts, Sacks vs. JC Penneys, Top-of-the-line vs. bottom-of-the-line. People are now learning that USR's "bottom-of-the-line" products are superior in functionality to their competitor's top-of-the-line products.

Perhaps someone from USR can elaborate. Come on out - we don't bite!
