David, thanks for sharing your calculations and thoughts. Perhaps some of the short term uncertainty will be clearer after Greenie lets us know if the rate cut is zero, 1/4 or 1/2. My guess is 1/4 since we don't need a rate cut, just something symbolic to calm the markets.

I was thinking of starting a hedge fund. I am most interested in the bailout aspects should I blow a ton of $$$$$$$.

Perhaps if I start a hedge fund thread here on SI and get a PO box and a bank acct.......If we get big enough, we don't have to worry about losing any bucks, so we'll play nothing but risky stuff and use borrowed money only.

Please consider the TA job for this hedge fund yours. I will be traveling on a consistent basis, looking to establish business contacts in Bora Bora, Tuvalu and other such places.
