I visited the Eastern State Exhibition this weekend, a 75+ year old fair of 6 New England states. About 500,000 folks attend. Saturn had an exhibit. Their representative doesn't expect to be selling the EV1s "any time soon. They're still working out the bugs with range, even in the fair weather states like California....Field engineers report that, even with the new batteries, there are still a lot of bugs...We may not be the first to get a lot of electric cars out there, but we are going to be the first to get it right. It took ten years of testing before we released the Saturn....We do want and expect to be the arm of GM that will run the electric car operation."
