Michael, this must be one of the most useless "serious" posts I have seen on SI. Do you mean to tell us that it's good or bad for Micron that there is an LDS connection? Is it smart or dumb that MU's next fab was in Utah? Re: the "Mormon Mafia" do you mean to convince us that Mormon members of Congress are conspiring to deliver pork to districts beyond what would be normally expected?

My sense is that the LDS factor is completely insignificant to MU's valuation:

1) LDS people do not determine the price of DRAM.
2) LDS people do not have much to do with Intel's roadmap.
3) LDS people have not done anything remarkable to bail out MU in downcycles. Or do they control TXN, too?
4) LDS connections do not let Micron borrow at a lower interest rate.

Since LDS members don't control the price of the commodity or the rate at which capital can be borrowed or the strategy of major industry competitors or partners, what are they doing? Give us a break.

I do, however, look forward to your next post on how the Anglican Church is responsible for the failure of the British auto industry. And, if you have a moment, what is the connection between the longevity of the Catholic Church and the high price of pasta?

Please share,
Matt
