I think we are entering phase two where the righteous indication of the Repubs., and their transparent efforts to make hay of this overwrought atmosphere for suspect cultural agenda purposes, starts outweighing the public's...blah blah blah

dougjn, please cite numerous examples of " their transparent efforts to make hay of this overwrought atmosphere".

The thing I am most disappointed in is the timidity of the Republicans, and their concerted effort *not* to make hay out of this. The "meanest" campaign ad I've heard so far in my area was just before the Sept primary, where one Republican said he was for "truth in government". Man, how mean and transparent. What an opportunistic slimebag, having the chutzpah to stand up for truth in government.

Yes, I'm disappointed. One would expect much more, and I hope I hear it from Republicans before November. Something on the order of "I respect and abide by the rules of our Justice system". And, "I won't ask my Congressional staffers to suck my you-know-what".
