Dell Computer Corporation (DELL) - Another Breakout! The fall analyst
meeting we discussed on Thursday night was a sure winner. Friday, DELL executives stated the strong demand for computers was pushing sales forward, even in economically stricken areas such as Asian and Latin America. Dell also stated that he sees no sign of weakness in DELL sales in Latin America, Asian, and Japan - three regions that many companies have failed to turn over any profits. DELL vice chairman Mort Topfer stated, "We continue to gain market share across the world. The constant stream of technology that is delivered by the semiconductor world and by our friends in the software world is creating what we think is a very robust demand cycle." The good news helped lift DELL to a 52-week high and carried the whole technology sector higher throughout the day. Friday, DELL rocketed 2.75 points, or 4% to 66.06 - only 34 point from split announcement territory! DELL has cleared all of its resistance and if the market cooperates, DELL should continue to fly the blue-skies. With DELL's bullish comments going forward, any dips taken on DELL should be viewed as buying opportunities. Tighten your seatbelts, because this could be a nice ride up! Optionable.
