Gary,

As far as my predictions, I made them well before they became "fairly obvious."

I agree that LU will be leery of a deal that is dilutive to earnings, however, without ASND, LU CAN NOT accomplish its current objective, "to be a major player both now and in the future of networking." ASND is LU only guarantee that LU shareholders will accept for an instant "step up." Yes I agree (as Tim and others have mentioned) that there are other company's that LU can gobble up for cheap money, however, NONE of these company's provide LU the synergistic components of an ASND deal. It is my belief that if LU does not acquire ASND then they are dead in the water. ASND and CSCO will continue to remain years ahead of them in the networking industry. LU shareholders find this unacceptable.

As for my source, you said it best, "its not rocket science." My statements are both obvious and logical. If LU does not buy ASND then I will look like an ass, if LU does buy ASND, everyone will say, who didn't know that was going to happen. Screwed if I do, screwed if I don't....know what I mean?

Good luck,

Jamie
