I have heard from unfortunately very impeachable sources that LCTM and other hedge funds have been borrowing enormous amounts of gold from various central banks. Further, these central banks have begun calling these loan in. Seems plausible that this could account for the current blip up in the price of gold. Anyone care to comment on this topic?
