On Usenet, of course, this would be grounds for declaring the debate dead. jlallen only raised this obliquely, with the "leftist dictators of the '30s. mrknowitall pulled this on me in another forum, again somewhat more obliquely, along with a bunch of other cheesy high school debate tricks, before resorting to more overt ad hominem attacks. I'm relatively cool with him now, though.
Evil exists in many places. It seems to be sort of like computer standards, and facts, there's so much to pick and choose from. Nothing evil about the grand inquisitor Starr, no sir. No smear tactics in his report, either. Let's stick to facts here. |
