Grant,
Interesting article on @HOME. As I mentioned in another post, Comcast just finished installing fiber optic cable in my neighborhood and a neighbor subscribed to @HOME. Very fast. Also cheap if you consider that you no longer need a phone line for the computer ($15) or an ISP ($15-20) and @HOME costs about $40/mo. The question for AOL is still where they fit in that universe.
