Yesterday, we spent the day preparing for Georges. Getting the generator set up; getting gas and propane; stocking water, ice, and provisions (Schlitz too!). It looked like it would be very bad. We had a few squalls in the afternoon and and steady wind.
Overnight, however, Georges shifted more Northeasterly than West and we were spared. Today has been cloudy and windy, but no rain. We may get some yet, but we dodged a very big bullet! The folks in Gulfport and Biloxi have not been as fortunate and they are getting pounded. Pensacola has had over 2 feet of rain already!
BULLETIN: I had some good luck with one of my trades! I bought ACCS last week as one of my mo-mo candidates. Today, it didn't open and I was thinking "Oh-oh, bad news!" Well it gapped upon over 7 points on news that they will be acquired by HBOC! Amazing -- I never had one of these before. It goes to offset some of my miserable trades from last week!
I think tomorrow I am going to lighten up on my longs before AG speaks. I agree with LT that the market is headed down.
